Privacy Policy

The short version

We use what you tell us about your trip to plan your days. We run no advertising, we sell nothing about you, and we do not follow you around other companies’ apps. Where you are standing never leaves your phone.

What we hold about you

Your account: a sign-in identifier and the date the account was made. That is the whole record. Your email address and your name stay with the service that signs you in.

Your trip: the answers you gave. Travel dates, which resorts, how many adults and how many children, the children’s heights if you entered them, your priorities, your pace, your break and meal answers, anything you said you refuse to miss, and any change you asked for afterwards. A question you skipped is missing from the record rather than stored empty.

Your starred rides: which ride, and whether its bell is on.

Your purchase: if you bought on our website, what you bought, the price, the payment processor’s references, and the email address you bought with. If you bought in the app, Apple holds the transaction and we hold the fact that your account has access.

What the guide costs to run: one row per call to the partner service, holding the screen it came from, the model, the effort setting and the token counts. No question text, no answer text, and no account identifier.

Where you are standing

ParkCue asks for location in one place: the park map, and only after you have read our own explanation and tapped to accept. It is never asked for at launch and never asked for during setup.

We ask for foreground location only. There is no background permission, no always-on tracking and no geofence. The reading goes to the map drawn on your phone, and it stops the moment you leave that screen.

No coordinate of yours reaches our servers. There is no table in our database that holds one. Location is never sold and never shared.

Saying no to location leaves the whole guide working. You lose the dot on the map and nothing else.

Notifications

The reminders ParkCue sends today are scheduled by your own phone: the trip countdown, and the watch on a ride you starred. Nothing is sent from our servers, and no device token is collected.

If that ever changes, we would need a token from your phone to do it, and this policy will say so before it ships.

What the partner service is shown

When you ask a question, we send a partner service the verified park facts the screen is standing on, the live readings it is quoting, and your question. If you have saved a trip, we also send its shape: crew counts, children’s heights, dates, resorts, pace, priorities, restrictions and must-dos.

We do not send your name, your email address or your account identifier. The provider processes this under a contract that forbids training on it. We keep the token counts of the call so we can see what it cost, and not the words.

ParkCue can also write a short story of one day of your trip, and it asks before it does. Only after you allow it do we send the partner service that day’s shape: the date, the park, the gate time, the stops the planner placed and the crew you entered. Nothing is sent and no story is stored before you allow it, and Settings holds the switch that takes the permission back.

What we never do

No advertising. No selling or renting anything about you, and least of all where you have been.

No following you across other companies’ apps and websites. ParkCue carries no advertising identifier and no third-party analytics.

No invented data. Where a real number is missing, the screen says so rather than showing one.

Who else touches it

Only service providers under contract, and only for the part each of them runs: the service that signs you in, the backend that stores your trip, Apple for in-app purchases, our payment processor for purchases made on the website, the partner service that writes answers, and the map tile service the park map draws from. Nobody else, unless the law compels us.

Children

ParkCue is for the adult planning the trip and is not directed at children. A child’s height is entered by that adult, so the guide can tell which rides that child may go on, and it is used for nothing else. We do not knowingly collect anything directly from a child under 13.

How long we keep it

Your trips stay while your account does, because last year’s trip is useful next year. Delete a trip and it is gone.

Delete your account and your account record, your trips and your starred rides are deleted at once. Encrypted backups held by our backend provider roll off on that provider’s own cycle.

Deleting your account

Settings holds a Delete my account row, inside the app, as Apple requires. It deletes your account, your trips and your starred rides, and it signs you out.

One thing survives on purpose: the record of a purchase. That record is how a restore gives you back what you paid for, and both Apple and our website restore from the transaction rather than from you. So the record stays, and it stops naming you at the same moment. The confirmation says this before you tap.

Seeing, correcting and taking your data

Nearly everything we hold is something you typed, and it is visible and editable in the app. For a copy of the rest, write to hello@parkcue.app.

If you live in California, or in the EU or the UK, you also have rights to know, to access, to correct, to delete, to portability, and to not be treated differently for using them. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, so there is nothing to opt out of. Write to hello@parkcue.app and we answer inside the window the law sets.

For readers in the EU and the UK, our legal bases are performing the contract you bought, our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, and your consent where we asked for it.

Security

Everything travels over encrypted connections and is stored with providers that keep industry-standard access controls. No system is perfect. If a breach touches your data we tell you as the law requires.

Not affiliated with the parks

ParkCue is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, NBCUniversal, or any theme park. Park and attraction names are their owners’ trademarks, used only to describe real places.

Changes to this policy

If we change something that matters, the app tells you before it takes effect. The version that applies to you is always the one on this screen.
